Live: Pure Linear Flow

Pure, unfiltered, spontaneous, and different every time. No scripts, no repetition—just intuition and breath, like a clear river in constant motion. I create 45 minute live improvised ambient & melodic flow sessions: perfect for meditation, focus, creation, filmmaking, or simply feeling deeply.

What arises in the studio can also arise anywhere. Live improvised sessions are possible at galleries, exhibitions, festivals, ceremonies, conferences, keynotes — any gathering where presence and atmosphere matter more than a predetermined program. The music adapts to the space, the people, and the moment. No two performances are ever the same.

Meet the Person Behind the Music

I am Marc van Mourik (1977). A freelance producer, performer, and klankmasseur — a word I chose because my work with sound goes beyond music. It touches.

I have been making music since I was four. Later, I trained in mechanical engineering and music technology composition (HKU, 1999–2002) — a combination of machines and music that still shapes how I work today. Technical precision meets deep intuition. An ability to listen before playing, to create rather than just compose.

Early in my career, I composed for top agencies like Philips, Bosch, and Heijmans. I truly enjoyed the creative challenges. Tight deadlines and specific briefings taught me how to focus energy and deliver under pressure. Structure often fuels creativity.

Over time, I gained the confidence to release the music I wanted to make myself. While I still work effectively within scripts and timelines, I now seek the space where music can breathe more freely — guided by intuition rather than just a schedule. This leads to authentic, out-of-the-box results that standard formulas miss.

In 2012, I founded the label Soundtracks to Relax, producing cinematic ambient music for streaming platforms such as Spotify. My work now reaches over 65,000 listeners every month, with more than 10 million streams to date.

My latest project, Pure Linear Flow, is the natural result of that growth. Not a concept I designed — something that emerged when the hesitation dissolved. Under this concept, I improvise live piano in dialogue with the world — unscripted, unrepeatable, never the same twice. No algorithms. No AI. Just a person, an instrument, and whatever wants to emerge.

In 2026, I became a certified Peter Hess® sound massage practitioner — a natural extension of a lifelong belief that sound is not decoration but medicine. I graduated cum laude from Sound Education Nederland in 2024 and completed foundational studies in Ayurveda.

All my music is tuned to 432 Hz — the frequency of natural harmony. Not a gimmick. An alignment.

I create for those who believe that kindness, empathy, and the vibration of love are the most powerful forces in the world.
