Why Is This Different?

Traditional commissioned music is built in layers. Multiple takes, overdubs, post-production, revision rounds. The result is polished — but the maker is present only in traces: you hear his decisions, not his presence.

Here, the process is reversed. I improvise — live, to your footage, with nothing written beforehand. There is no verse-chorus structure, no theme written to return, no architecture imposed on the material afterwards. What emerges is not a song about your scene: it is the sound of watching it, once, and answering it — a linear stream that follows the arc of your footage from first frame to last. This is not composing in the usual sense. It is listening, made audible.

Where a piece calls for layers, each layer is a complete live improvisation, performed while listening back to the previous take. Nothing is corrected, nothing is stitched.

You hear decisions, yes — twenty years of them. But above all, you hear presence: the energy, the craft and the maker himself, audible in every note.

I watch the footage multiple times. Timing, emotional arc, pacing, atmosphere, silences. I'm not looking for a melody that fits — I'm looking and feeling for what the image needs.

Step 3 — Improvisation

I improvise to your picture, live. Where layers
serve the story, each layer is a complete new improvisation,
inspired by the previous take.

Step 4 — Mix & Master

Professionally mixed, broadcast-ready.

Step 5 — Delivery

WAV/AIFF, worldwide, with exclusive usage licence
and Buma/Stemra cue sheet filing.
